The best Cop show ever aired! I had watched many episodes of this series when it was aired & then suddenly it was gone. I always wondered what happened to it & searched for it for years. Recently I thought of the show & found Crime Story on DVD on E-Bay so I purchased it immediately. Let me say I have not been disappointed. The whole 1st season takes you through the life of Chicago cop Mike Torello & his special unit fighting Chicago crime. Great cast of crime characters and some nice looking Ladies also. Lots of special guest appearances too! Actually I have read in real life "Dennis Farina" was a real cop in Chicago & "John Santucci" was a real hood & that some of the episodes were based on some real events. I also read that "Farina & Santucci" were consultants for the series as well as actors. And of course I must mention gangster Ray Luca played by "Anthony Denison" who has a Pompadour longer than the the barrel of his gun. This season one set contains the pilot episode & it starts off with a bang. There are 2 different 1st seasons DVD sets available however, be sure to try & get the 1993 one packaged as shown here as that was the original set & may be collectible. The second season does not disappoint as well which I am now watching which takes Torello & His men to Vegas where they are assigned to a federal task force working for the Justice Dept. & I can't tell You much more without giving away some of the story so I won't. I am now getting ready to watch the second seasons last episode and I have been holding off watching this last episode because I don't want it to end. I will surely miss it!Read full review
