40th anniversary (2009) revised 3 disc director's-cut set. This is an extended version of the original film and includes Canned Heat, Hendricks and Joplin sets. Its a good version. The interviews with the director and producer add a lot to the understanding of the production. It even included interviews with Martin Scorsese, who worked on the original film. The extra discs contain more performer's footage, more interviews as well as information about the museum. If you get this for a low price, its worth it. 2019 has a new set of discs out, but for the value, this is a great version..

I saw Woodstock when it was first released to theaters. I enjoyed it then but I think I enjoyed it even more in 2018. I wish that more time could have been devoted to interviews with the folks at the festival. The few that are on the film are very interesting - sort of a time capsule for 1969. I don't believe any individuals were identified by name, but I remember their faces and I often wonder who they were and what became of them. Now, after fifty years, most of them would be well into their seventies and I suppose many are deceased. Did anyone else notice the absence of tattoos? I saw a couple people with a tattoo but that was about it. Things change, that's for sure. Anyway, a marvelous movie.

Memories of a different and far greater time. It's unbelievable and also shameful for the tons of trash left laying around.
