Bruce Campbell stars in Sam Raimi's 1992 horror sequel. A man is sent back to 1300 A.D. battling the undead for an ancient book that can send him back to the present. I love this film and still have the 2-disc Boomstick edition dvd, but wanted this blu-ray. It has nice picture and sound plus some neat extras. I recommend this good blu-ray because it's the best version of the theatrical cut.
Wow this Blu-ray has a VC-1 transfer and a DTS-HD-Master Audio 5.1 audio mix and man does it work. Every shotgun blast sounds great and the bass is powerful during the battle scenes. The transfer is really good but does suffer in certain spots. This is not Universal's fault, I repeat not Universals fault. This is the best that this film will EVER look period. However I must say there are almost no freatures so keep that in mind going in.

This movie is yet another sequel to the Evil Dead series. The movie does not disappoint. In an era when special effects did not involve CGI, this movie does justice to the rest of the series. The horror equivalent of a cheesball western, will keep you laughing till the very end. Outstanding performance by Mr. Campbell. The Blu Ray looks amazing. If you have seen this film in other versions, you wont believe your eyes. Worth every penny!
