The paperwork that came with this bench claimed it could hold 400 lbs .... ( I wouldn't trust it for more than 100 lbs). Although I purchased this item to be Yard Art.... I placed it under a tree and put a statue on top of it. It is very elegant to look at but a bit unnerving to sit on.
