As a child growing up in a tiny rural community in Wisconsin (attended a one-room school with eight grades in one room and one astonishing teacher), I have always loved these books. I even wrote to Laura Ingalls Wilder and she answered me! After a number of moves I lost the books and decided that I wanted to re-read them, now that I'm retired. They are as delightful and charming as they were when I was a kid. Except for the scattered 19th century racist incidents, I found them to be informative and insightful even for a pre-baby boomer. EBay performs a wonderful service and it is the first place I go when I'm looking for something specific to my work as an historian. Rarely have I been disappointed.
Every child should read.....the Little House on the Prairie Series!

My wife and granddaughter are currently reading the series and have trouble putting the book down as they are awesome books. Sure glad I got them!

In very good condition. The print is easy to read which is important to me because I often read later in the evenings.

A former teacher of mine read this book to the entire fourth grade class, of which I was a member. I introduced it to my daughter which also loved it. We proceeded to buy the complete collection of The Little House On The Prarie books. This particular book was lost or destroyed,so I bought it as a replacement, so she would still have the complete set. Sincerely Dan Kimbrough
