I picked up this version of the Murderdolls debut (and to date, only release) due to the fact that it contains several extra songs that are absent from the initial release and a bonus DVD with music videos and some live performances. The album's promotion relied heavily on the fact that Joey Jordison (Slipknot) was in the band. One will quickly discover however, that this band sounds nothing like Slipknot. What you get are fast paced, fouled-mouthed horror punk anthems with wailing guitars and eerie Marilyn Manson style singing thanks to vocalist "Wednesday 13" (who has put out several solo albums since this release). Punk purists may not like this album based on the fact that the album has a fair amount of atmospheric embellishments - keyboard and soundbites that add an extra "spooky" flair to the mix. Personally it doesn't bother me, but one could argue that the true raw punk flavor is lost when studio production goes past the point of simply recording the instruments and vocals. I've noticed that this CD (particularly this deluxe version) is becoming harder to find in music stores 5 years after it's release. I purchased a copy from eBay simply because I could not find a retail store that had it in stock. If you are interested in this album, you may want to track down a copy sooner than later. A few more years down the line and the album may be out of print. --- blood-of-greedo ---Read full review
This is great music. If you like rock and heavy metal on the dark side, you definitively have to listen to this. There's a lot of inspiration behind this record, and I have to admit it can create a sort of addiction. I saw this band live, and it was shocking. You can have an idea of this aspect in the included DVD, altough the quality of the live recording is surprisingly poor. Music video for White wedding is so amazing.. Evil and funny!! Still reading? Go buy this and support a band which deserves it!!
I bought this album because I am a huge fan of slipknot. And when I heard that slipknots lead drummer Joey had another band, I had to hear it. It was the complete opposite of slipknot. Plus Joey is the lead guitar. Although it was completely different, I loved it. They have the most histarical lyrics I have ever heard. The whole cd I could not stop laughing. My favorite song was graverobbing USA. It is hillarious.
I thought it was worth my money I am happy with it.

Its a great cd. although many people only look at this band because of joey, and dont get me wrong hes a great drummer and guitarist, its more than just the guy from slipknots other band.
