The book is part of a series. Each of the books in the series illustrate some valuable lesson. This particular book, as you probably guessed from the title, is about the importance of always telling the truth. Roo breaks a piece of furniture and tries to cover it up instead of telling Owl what happened. The more Roo tries to hide it, the worse things get.

This book, as with many of the others in this series, has a simple message played out in the antics of the adorable little Winnie The Pooh characters. All character roles are true to their nature. This is important when so many books these days, are written by people who don't even know the true nature of the characters they are writting about. While this book is not really exciting, or creative, it is cute and there is an important lesson to be learned about telling the truth. I have found that all the books in this series provide conversation about important life lessons.
