Love this guitar. I do tend to lean towards Mahogany guitars and I do have a Breedlove OM Mahogany which I also like but this is probably my favourite. The Mahogany looks great with it's glossy finish and it has a lovely warm tone. Part of that may well be down to the bone nut and saddle. The electronics are good too, though I haven't used it with an amp that often, and it comes with a very nice, useable gig bag. The action was good straight out of the box, even for a beginner, like me. The build quality of these guitars is great, I couldn't fault either of the two I have (or the OM I have). They are built in Korea and inspected in the main factory in Oregan. That's a fair amount of travelling and they are still a very consistent high quality product. I thought OM was my shape until I checked out the two or three demo's on YouTube and I was hooked! I liked it so much I bought a second one! The sound of the guitar was very consistent across the reviews, which is why I was so taken by it. I know you're supposed to try before you buy but if you can't, there are several more reviews and demo's on YouTube now, go and check them out (you may save yourself time by checking the collection of demo's out on my channel - jammybilly). They come with D'Addario Light Phosphor Bronze strings which sound good.I plan to try mediums and I see D'Addario have brought out some great sounding Nickel strings which do seem to bring out more of the lovely deep woody tones of the various guitars they demo with them on. I've checked the two pics for the blemishes on the butlermusic site (May 2016) and I can't actually see anything in the second pic! This is a steal at £350 as I do still follow this guitar on ebay and it regularly sells for around £500 and the last "private" seller (not a shop) was looking for over £500. As always, work out what woods you like the sound of and what body shape of guitar sounds good to you. If you're taken by the reviews and demo's of this guitar but aren't sure if that's the REAL sound, I'd say go for it! You won't be disappointed.Read full review
