I love this book. I bought it years ago and always love to read it when I want a good scare. I couldn't believe some of the stories. You can really get into this book and you want to learn more about some of the stories, especially the boy that disappears into thin air. The book is hard to find now and Hurricane Katrina took my only copy and I'm looking to replace it.
True ghost stories put on paper with a writers touch. The writters interpit the facts of a given haunting into a readable story. Some embelisment may be in place but that is just to help relay the events better. Do not buy this book if you are just looking for given first hand accounts of a haunting.
Just what I expected.

Great book to read about true hauntings across the hearland. Each haunting is explained thoroughly. Great book to curl up in bed with a little rain tapping the windows and some light thunder rumbling outside and a nice cup of hot coco.
Very much enjoyed this book for it's brevity of major ghost hauntings in Indiana, Ohio, Missouri et al. Some ghost stories require a little more elaboration, but I could not put this book down as every case I read gave momentum for the next ghost story.
