As part of the oral tradition of the Jewish people, Midrashim fill in the details to the events and characters mentioned in the Bible. The Zohar does this to a great extent in a Mystical way, as expounded by Rabbi Shimon bar Yoachai and his students, a Rabbi who lived during the roman occupation of Palestine (previously called Judea). In these 23 volumes are explained in a lucid & easy way the various kabbalistic concepts found throughout the Zohar. The author explains concepts so that anyone with a High School education can understand. This is all based upon the works of his father's teacher, Rabbi Ashlag, known as the Sulam. If you plan on learning Kabbalah, this set is a MUST in order to understand the various concepts of the sephirot, fall of man, sin, man-woman relationships, the evil inclination and so much more!
