About the painting

This is a signed aceo 2 1/2x 3 1/2 inch oil painting on matte board . It is signed on the front and the back.My paintings are inspired by Southern Illinois and the Shawnee National Forest.Myaceo paintings are one of a kind original paintings that I work on daily in my studio. They are the same quality as my gallery work without the highmark up.

About the artist

I am a professional artist who has sold paintings on since February 2011. Painting found me in my late 40s. I\'m in my early 50s now and paint 4- 8 hrs per day in my studio. Before that I painted fromthe bed of an old Ford Ranger until demand for my work got too high. Iam a 2010 graduate of Southern Illinois University with a BFA in painting. My work is held in collections around the world, and in corporate collections in the United States. My influences are Tommy Thomson, Sergei Bongart, Albert Handell, and Harley Brown. I have beenblessed with wonderful collectors that have allowed me to paint every day for a living.Unlike most artist I did not always draw, paint, or have any interest in art as a child. After retiring from the Navy I took up ceramics and sculpture by taking a class with my daughter. I enrolled at SIUC as a metals sculpture major a few years later. After heart surgery I changed my major to painting. I opened Kenneth Burnside Studios in a small town in southern Illinois. Since then I have made my living as a professional painter.
