A rare Shoji Hamada Teabowl c1940s
stoneware with different brown tones and iron marks
10 x 12.5 cm (4 x 5 ")
provenance: originally purchased from Bonhams. Images of the original catalogue and listing are included in this listing (a photocopy of the Bonhams catalogue will be included with the bowl). Also included with piece is the original receipt from Bonhams, purchased over 20 years ago for £469.35 - see image
Condition note: no damage. There is a large piece of clay wadding attached to the base of the Teabowl from firing. This makes the Teabowl sit an angle - see photo's
