Up for sale is this amazing and rare , best quality chinese export silver tea caddy ,this tea caddy is hexagonal in shape , so its have two bigfront panels , the firstone comprising a bamboo tree rising from ascholars rock and an hawk on its side .thesecond one is comprising a 5 story-pagoda inside a pine forest with some mountainsin thebackground.the 4 side panels are :the first one is adorned with chineseflowers , thesecond one have some scrolled dragonflying . the 3rd panel have some catfish and other fresh water fishes swimming and the lastone have some shrimplobster and other salt water fishes swimming in the ocean .this tea caddy is made in the late 19 century and is signed GW in english and anotherchinese characters signaturenear to this one , the maker of this item isGem Wo.
