Roycroft Style Hammered Copper Oil Lamp Secessionist Design Influence:
Up for sale, I have a Mission Arts and Crafts Movement period hammeredcopper and brass oil lamp. Thisoil lamp is made in the styleof the Roycrofters in East Aurora New York around 1920. Theoil lamp has very finely hammered copper with delicately workedbrass legs. Thework has a Secessionist design influence, and still retains its original patina. Theoil lamp stands 7-1/4" tall and is 3-1/4" in diameter at the base There are three brass legs that twist slightly holding a hammered copper bowl that is 2-1/2" tall by 1-1/2" in diameter. The top comes off so you can put a wick and oil in it and use it. I have looked and cannot find a makers mark on it. The quality is very high and I am sure it was produced by atalented copper shop. This would be a great addition to any Mission Arts and Crafts copper collection. Please feel free to email with any questions you may have.
