a very fine silverart nouveau spoonby archibald knox for liberty & co,it has awonderfulstylised honesty leaves and open workdesign to the handlewhich are typical of the art nouveau & arts & crafts period,it is of thefinest qualityand would have been sold throughthe liberty & costore in londons regent streetas part of the cymric range,there were several designers using this medium of design and decoration during this era,amongst those the most notable were,jessie m king,charles hornerand james fenton.thespoon would have been produced byhaselers of birmingham,these were the only silversmith making for libertys and produced the cymric silver ware range plus the tudric pewter range also,it carries the lion passant mark for sterling and the birmingham date letterc for1902 and thel&c punch in the three diamond lozenge plus the coveted cymric stamp,it measures 4&3/8ths" long,the spoon has no damage or repairs but is over 100 years old so has some minor signs of usage,please feel free to ask any questions and i will reply within 24hours,this is a genuine piece and should not be mistaken for the unmarked copies and reproduction items offered on .postage is by special delivery in the u.k and airsure or signed for to international destinations.
