Up for offer is a rare pleochroic Andalusite Gem from a very rare locality, North Slope Alaska! This wonderful gem measures 3.8mm and weighs 0.20cts. Mining can only be done for a short period of time each year and only a very limited amount of rough is found when lucky. Andalusite gems from Alaska are much rarer than your typical andalusite and command a premium. A very nice stone for a rare gem and mineral collection, but also very suitable for a custom piece of jewelry!
