Mervyn's Village Square - School (1996):
I've decided that it's time to clear out all of the buildings and accessories that I have been collecting over the years, but which I don't actually have room for on my Christmas display. Hopefully, my garage-cleaning provides an opportunity for you to find something you like. As a collector, I have tried very hard to not only find buildings which are in pristine condition, but also those with boxes and styrofoam in excellent condition (I try to note where this is not the case).
This School is part of the great 1996 Tenth Anniversary Edition of Village Square (along with the Museum, Cathedral, etc.). With its balcony above the porch and clock cupola, it is just a little more ornate than the 1995 School that just preceded it. The red brick facade is nicely contrasted with the slate blue roof and marble entrance way. And, of course, there are the Village Square “standards” -- snow on the roof and Christmas trees everywhere. I see no obvious chips, cracks, or scratches. The approximate dimensions of this building are10 x 7 x 10.5. Also included is an electrical cord (w/on/off switch) and light bulb. This building comes in its original box, with its original styrofoam packaging
I pack all of these buildings in their own boxes and then in an exterior cardboard box, with lots of protective material inside the building box itself and between the building box and the exterior box. In the rare case of buildings without a Mervyn’s box, I am particularly careful to package them extra securely.
NOTE: Sorry about the high cost of Shipping (Postal Rates are really increasing). I most often use Fed Ex Smart Post, which is generally the cheapest (and slowest) method. Unfortunately, most of the Fiber Optic buildings are so large and heavy that Combined Shipping is not feasible -- either two buildings are two big for a single box, or you are charged more for one large, heavy box than you would have for two smaller ones. But when the items are smaller, I can Combine two (or more) items in one box to save you as much money as possible on Shipping costs. By the way, I only charge for postage, not packaging or "handling."
