A very rare opportunity here. Finding ANYTHING from the heroines of Jerico is impossible. This is all from the 1920's to 1940's and has all the stuff from the lodge including the early trunk that is hand painted. It is from Lodge 39 in Monticello GA. The heroines of Jerhico is the female arm of the Arch Masons. All of this belongs in Masonic or African American Heritage Museum. A lot of the things I sell end up in a museum.
I looked in WorthPoint and could not find anything older for this group and also looked on Google and same empty result. I think the painted trunk is worth a grand and it looks as nice on all four sides and has the lodge name on the front and the top is gold with the horn of Jerhico that resemblesthe infantry seal for the US in the Civil War. There are lodge ritual pieces and 50+ good ribbons and parts and also fraying ribbons that are suffering from their age. The tunk is about 36" x 8" x 10".
Email with questions. Hinges to top of the trunk are missing and the border ends do not meet perfectly due to the shrinking with age. As noted about 1/2 of the ribbons are coming apart with age.About Me
