Up for sale is anImportant Historical Female Aviation Pioneer, "Mrs. Frances Haussner" Heavy Solid BRASS PLAQUE Award. Recently purchased from a Haussner estate sale, its a nice size piece that is heavy with very minimal wear. A great looking piece that would look outstanding in a museum or as the highlight of a personal aviation collection. This is an original award plaque circa 1971 which was probably affixed to a statue or historical building that is in excellent condition. It may have been something created that was intended to be affixed to a statue or bronze monument which never got produced for some reason. Its quite an unusual and extraordinary piece. Measures about 10" x 8" and is alittle over 1/4" thick. Its not too heavy (guessing about 15 pounds) and could easily be mounted on a wall without damaging the wall for display. Soda can not included, shown for size reference. A portion of the sale will benefit an arts for animals charity!
