Madonna and Child tempera on wood panel. This is one solid piece and measures 11 1/8" x 17 1/4" and inside of the frame"frame" measures 6 1/2" x 9 3/4". Still showing remnants of the red polychrome pigment that once was on the hand carved wooden frame pillars. This piece is very old. There are a few blemishes, including a white gash and some age cracking/pitting on the surface. The verso side has age cracking in the wood. Not sure what kind of wood. This piece is sold as is. It is not authenticated, nor appraised. I know very little about the piece, including whether or or not it was dome by Jacopo Bellini's hand, or if it is a reproduction of his work. Either way, It is an absolutely gorgeous piece of work.
