This antique candy container is very large at 13 1/4 inches long.
Made of paper mache. Most certainly German, probably Dresden. Dates to about 1900 to 1920. Realistically hand painted (looks like a carp or koi fish). Trap door on the back side to hold holiday candy.
Note the realistic open mouth, an unusual feature.
