Total Weight: Over a pound Attributed to Faberge Russian 14 karat gold jeweledblue Guilloche enameled clock egg held by the silver ruby eyed elephantmodeled after the Emperor's royal pet, mounted atop a lapis lazuli gold fleckedbase. Decorated with Russian Empire Double Eagle State Emblem and the ImperialDynasty Dates 1613,1913 to body and ornate double eagle figural finial to top.Featuring a floral/leaved design amongst four reticulated gold swans along thebase. Accented with red ruby cabochons and rose cut diamonds throughout. Thisrare egg opens to a fixed hand painted porcelain dial clock with originalmechanism. Hallmarked to rim. Crafted from workmaster Henrik Wigstrom(1862-1923). From a Bal Harbor estate. Work Master Notes: Henrik Wigstrombecame head workmaster upon Michael Perchin's death in 1903, thereby assuming responsibility for the imperial Easter eggs. Wigstrom was particularly adept at designing cigarette cases, frames and figurines, which were produced in large number during the firm's most productive years. Wigstrom's style is characterized by echoes of the Louis XVI and Empire (style) periods. His hallmarks: 'H.W.'
