Presented here is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a rare piece of american literary history.
This is the rare "guest book" of the famous John Mistletoe Book shop on Lark St; Albany, NY. Starting in 1931 and spanning about 50 years, authors, actresses and artists from all over the world visited this small, widely known book shop to pay their respects. Before leaving, the two women who ran the book shop from the 1930s to the 1970s (Miss Helen T. Fay / Miss Eleanor Foote) would ask their most prolific visitors to inscribe and sign this very guest book. Some of the inscriptions included in this book are from :

The Mistletoe Book Shop was named for Christopher Morley's "John Mistletoe," one of the finest literary autobiographies ever published.

In reference to the store's history :

"Miss Eleanor Foote took her first unsuspected step toward acquiring a shop of her own when she helped run "The Haunted Bookshop" corner of the Co-op Book Shop at State College, Albany. It was there she met Christopher Morley, for another of whose books the shop corner was named, and which he dedicated and continued to visit frequently until his death." From Times-Union Newspaper , Nov. 10th 1959.
