This is the very first Snake Charmer series model ever produced by Royal Dux, authenticated by the solitary "1" on the base.

Royal Duxhas used over 20 different marks since it began producing porcelain figurines.This Snake Charmer bears the 1920s “Royal Dux Czechoslovakia” mark of thefirst, original series of Snake Charmers produced by their artists. Royal Duxhas made tens of thousands of the Snake Charmer figurine in followinggenerations, all bearing later RD marks.

If youcompare this figurine to other artists’ renditions of RD Snake Charmers, youwill note some unique features that this Snake Charmer has which has not beensince replicated.

Condition:Superb for a figurine that is 100 years old. Barely noticeable hairline on her left hand.
