Easy Mother’s Day Crafts for Kids
Mom doesn’t need expensive diamond bracelets or pricey perfume this Mother’s Day. Well, maybe she does (she deserves the very best, right?). But she’ll also appreciate kid-created crafts. If you’re looking for the perfect present for the special mother in your life, check out these pint-sized projects that are perfect for little artists to try.
Find a photo of mom and her mini me. Your child can create a portrait card that celebrates this special woman by gluing the photo to a folded piece of cardboard, construction paper or card stock paper. Use markers or crayons to add décor around the photo, creating an artsy frame.
Instead of giving mom flowers that will only wilt away, the kids can make fake flowers that last forever. Stack pieces of colorful tissue paper together, using at least three pieces. Your child can cut the paper into a large circle or oval shape. Gather the tissue at the center, twist it and wrap it with a green pipe cleaner to create a stem. Repeat to make an entire bouquet.
Create a cute pendant by cutting cardboard into a circle shape. Your child can glue sequins, beads or glitter onto it. Punch a hole at the top and thread a pretty piece of ribbon through it.
