Halloween Decor You Can Make at Home
Holiday décor doesn’t have to break your family’s budget. Are you looking for an easy, and economical, way to dress your house for Halloween? instead of sticking with pricey store-bought decorations, check out these low-cost homemade options. And bonus, these playful trick-or-treat picks provide plenty of crafty fun for the whole family!
Use a shaped stencil or cookie cutter to draw pumpkins onto orange and black card stock paper. Cut the pumpkins out, punch holes on the sides (one on each side) and string the shapes together to make a garland. If your child wants to add another layer to this project, give them markers or paint to create jack o’ lantern faces.
Add décor to your door by dressing the entire entry. Roll out a piece of butcher paper or plain white gift wrap. Decorate the paper with pumpkins, a spooky ghost or any other Halloween-themed design. Hang the paper on the door for trick-or-treat night.
Party Table Pumpkin
Are you planning a Halloween party? Dress the table with a giant pumpkin. Draw the pumpkin onto poster board, cut it out, decorate it with glitter and glue or markers and hang it on the front of the table. Use the leftover pieces of poster board to make your own confetti. Create extra table décor with a pumpkin-shaped hole punch and orange paper.
