3 Shamrock Art Activities for Kids
Decorate your home with a St. Patrick’s Day theme! Don’t worry if your holiday décor stash is depleted this year. Your creative kiddo can craft their own St. Patty’s decorations for this year’s family celebration. Check out these easy, artsy ideas that are perfect for kids of all ages.
Shamrock Table Cloth
Dress up a holiday table with this shamrock-covered covering. Reuse an old plain light-colored table cloth or a flat cotton bed sheet. Cut large-sized kitchen sponges into shamrock shapes. Draw a shamrock on the sponge with a permanent marker or use a template/stencil. Cut the shamrock out and give it to your child. Your mini Monet can dip the shamrock into green craft paint and press it onto the table cloth. Repeat to create cute holiday pattern. Let the painted table cloth dry completely before you use it.
Do you have leftover shamrock-shaped sponges from the table cloth craft? Paint print a pretty holiday garland. Cut shamrocks from white and light green paper. Size the shamrocks so that they are at least two inches larger than the sponge on each size. Dip the sponge back into green craft paint and print the shape onto the larger shamrocks. Punch holes in each side of the paint printed shapes and tie the garland together with gold ribbon.
Shamrock Door Décor
Are you looking for a super-simple craft for your toddler or preschooler? Draw a large shamrock onto a piece of white poster board. Cut the shape out and let your kiddo color the shamrock with green and gold crayons. Hang the St. Patrick’s Day décor on your front door.
