Easy Mother’s Day Card Crafts for Kids
Instead of a store-bought card for Mother’s Day, your kiddos can create their own homemade version. If you’re not sure where to start with a card-crafting art activity, check out these easy greeting ideas that mom will absolutely adore.
Spell out “Mom” on a cute card. Turn an 8×10-inch piece of construction paper on its side horizontally. Write the word “mom” in bubble letters across the paper. Each letter should touch the side of the one before it. Cut the word out and glue it to a piece of card stock paper. After the glue dries, turn the card over and write a special message on the back.
Fold an 8×10-inch piece of cardstock in half to make a book shape. Tear pieces of colorful tissue paper into small squares. Crumple the squares and glue them onto the front of the card to create textured flower petals. Glue a piece of green yard to the bottom of the petal area as a stem. Wait for the glue to dry. Open the card and write a message to mom or draw a heart inside.
Abstract Art Card
Is your little artist into paint splatters and other abstract art? Let them explore their own creative side with temperas and card stock. Use a brush and liquid temper paint to splatter a design across the front and back of the card. Finger paint a greeting for mom in the middle!
