Halloween Garland Crafts for Kids
Decorate your home for Halloween with a few crafty creations the kids can help you to make. Whether you’re planning a family holiday party or you just want to dress up your home for trick-or-treaters, check out these artsy garland ideas!
Ghost Garland
Make your own Halloween-themed garland with white card stock paper and markers. Cut one ghost shape from the paper or make a template using the front of an old cardboard box. Trace the ghost onto other pieces of paper and cut out each shape. Draw two eyes on each ghost with markers. Punch a hole on both sides of the ghosts and tie them together with yellow or black yarn.
Pumpkin Patch
Instead of white card stock, start this garland project with orange paper. Draw circles or ovals onto the paper, creating equal or different sizes. Glue a small square of green card stock or tissue paper to the top of each pumpkin and punch one hole on each side. String the pumpkin patch garland together with black or green yarn. If your child wants to add extra accents, turn the pumpkins into jack o’lanterns! Add faces with black markers or glue paper shapes onto the pumpkins.
Flying Bats
Create a bat-shaped template, using cardboard or other thick paper. Trace the bat onto black card stock and cut the creatures out. Punch one hole on each side and string the garland together with orange yarn.
