Halloween Outdoor Home Decor Crafts for Kids
Are you looking for a cute way to dress up your home for Halloween? If this year’s festivities don’t include typical trick-or-treating and other tried and true activities, check out the fun-filled ways your kiddos can help to decorate for the holiday!
Create your own yard-side pumpkin parade. Line the sidewalk, walkway driveway, porch or other similar area with pumpkin after pumpkin. Depending on your kids’ ages, you can either help them to carve jack o’ lanterns or decorate the pumpkins with paint and permanent markers. Choose a theme (such as animals or storybook characters) and get creative with this crafty Halloween project.
Deck your porch, windows or doors out in ghostly decor. Cut white crepe paper and add two ghost eyes at one end of each piece. String the streamers and let them flow like not-so-spooky Halloween ghosts.
Dress your front door up as a scary creature, spooky character or with a haunting Halloween pattern. Cover the door in poster board, butcher paper or plain gift wrap. Help your child to draw a spooky (or friendly) Frankenstein, vampire, ghost or witch onto an over-sized piece of paper. Tape the character onto the covered door to greet guests!
