Last-Minute Mother’s Day Crafts for Kids
Do you need a last-minute Mother’s Day craft for your kiddos? Don’t worry if you waited to buy mom a present for her special day. These easy activities are artsy adventures the kids will enjoy—as they get to create the perfect present for mom!
Mom will love a cute quick card just as much as one your bought in a store—probably more. If you have paper and markers or crayons, you have all the materials you’ll need. Fold the paper in half, cook-style. Draw half a heart, starting at the center fold. Cut along the line and open the paper to reveal a full heart. Help your child to write a special “heart-felt” message on the card.
Craft a colorful bracelet for more on her special day. Use ribbon or cut fabric into strips. Help your little artist to weave or braid a kid-created piece of jewelry mom will cherish for years. If you don’t have ribbon or craft fabric, don’t worry. Reuse old t-shirts, towels, blankets or sheets. Repurpose theses everyday items into art materials and cut them into thin strips to use for this project.
Greet mom with a rainbow-hued banner. Unroll plain gift wrap or use butcher paper for this easy kids’ craft. Your child can write a message to mom in markers and add their own special drawings, designs or a pattern to the rest of the banner.
