World Friendship Day BFF Crafts for Kids
What can your child do to celebrate World Friendship Day? Celebrated on July 30 annually, this day recognizes the importance of friendships. If you’re looking for a fun way to tackle the social subjects involved in truly understanding friendships with your child, check out these easy activity ideas.
Friendship Bracelets
There are more than a few bracelet-making craft ideas to try. A simple lanyard braid (using plastic string) or a soft yarn weave can keep your kiddo busy all afternoon. Have them make friendship bracelets for one BFF or for all of their school pals. If you have a young child who is struggling to braid or weave the bracelet, make an easy paper craft bracelet. Simply decorate a strip of construction paper and tape it at the ends.
Friendship Crowns
Your child’s best friend is a prince or princess — at least in their eyes. Help the kids to celebrate each other by making paper crowns. Cut pieces of construction paper into crown shapes, decorating the craft with star sticks, crayons or markers. Measure the crown to fit the friend’s head and tape the ends together.
