Eyvind Earle (1916–2000) was a groundbreaking artist and production designer whose work on Disney’s Lady and the Tramp (1955) cemented his place as one of animation’s most influential visionaries. Tasked with creating a distinctive look for the film, Earle developed a striking, stylized aesthetic inspired by medieval art, Gothic tapestries, and illuminated manuscripts.
