Family-Fun Father’s Day Activities
How are you spending Father’s Day? Not sure yet? That’s okay. If you haven’t made holiday plans, check out these family-fun activities that everyone will enjoy! Sure, you could do the typical go to a ball game day. Or, you could try something new this year.
You don’t have to leave the house to celebrate Father’s Day. Something simple like a daddy-daughter or daddy-son reading session is entertaining, educational and allows dad and the kids to spend some quality time together. Let the kids pick the book and let dad pick the place.
Head out to the yard for a Father’s Day obstacle course. Get ready for some major fun, and set up an “S” shaped running slalom course, an army crawl space or any other fun physical obstacle. Time each family member and hand out as kid-created trophy or medal to the winner.
Father’s Day activities don’t have to be pricey. The kids can spend the day with dad – for free! Go outside to the park or just walk around the neighborhood. Take a look at the flora and fauna and take pics along the way. The kids can bring a sketchbook to draw what they see. Give dad the drawings later on as keepsakes from this special day.
