This Genuine Herkimer Diamond Druze Specimen was hand dug at the Ace of Diamonds Mine in Middleville, NY in 2011, and comes from a limited find. Specimens of this caliber have not beenfound since, and only a few had been found in decades prior. This specimen has no damage and istruly a museum grade specimen for the highest level collector.
This Herkimer Diamond Druze specimen is of a size and quality that is rarely achieved. Specimens like this are all tucked away inmuseums or private collections. There are over a hundred large sized "perchers" that are aesthetically positioned all over this large druze plate that is 360o coated in smaller Herkimer Diamond druze growth. The specimen hails the name "The Cactus" due to its growth structure resembling a cactus.
Specimen has the highest level of aesthetics as well as the best quality you will ever see from a Herkimer Diamond Druze specimen.
