Found January 23rd 2024 in Petersburg N.Y.

This was found extremely close to the path of the Tomhannock Creek meteorite.. (This Meteorite was found 30-35 min away from the Tomhannock creek Meteorite area)

Its definitely not the same type of Meteorite but thought this was very interesting!

I was looking for odd things like I always do, & I found it!!☄

A water test was done giving this meteorite a estimated Density of 4.10

A window was cut into this Meteorite so the metal inside could be seen..

I also used a hand held portable blow torch and heated up the fusion crust a tiny bit to see what happens.. That was a bad idea.. It smelled horrible...

Its hard to describe its stink.. It wasn\'t a sulfur smell, rather like driving by a landfill on a super hot day is the only way I can describe it..

If you do heat the crust I recommend doing it outside.. I made the mistake of doing it inside and it made my house stink for hours on end...

I believe the smell was from amino acids locked inside the Meteorite from a ancient past but im not 100% sure.

The smell made me think it could be amino acids.

I have the Meteorite in a plastic bag wrapped in bubble wrap for protection..

I will give the buyer the exact location of where the meteorite was found so this information can be added to a display in your Home, Office or Museum!
