An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver and hardstone box; an addition to our diverse silver boxes collection

This antique George III sterling silver box has a square form with cut corners.

The surface of this antique sterling silver and stone box is plain and unembellished.

The hallmarked hinged cover features a fine and impressive hardstone panel secured with a scalloped sterling silver border; the cover is translucent in light*.

* The natural aesthetic depth of the hardstone is not truly reproduced in the images.

This antique silver and stone box is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The hardstone panel is in perfect condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the body and part hallmarks to the surface of the cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of Georgian silverware.
