Franklin Richards is the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm (Mr Fantastic & Invisible Woman).

Marvel classifies Franklin Richards as 1 of only 4 with Beyond Omega Level Powers.

Franklin possessed near God-like powers even at a young age.

It's not a question of if, but rather - when will we see him appear in the MCU?

1st appearance of Annihilus

Annihilus is Ruler of the Negative Zone who possesses the all mighty Cosmic Control Rod.

We may eventually see an Annihilation Event featuring Annihilus as the main Antagonist over multiple Movies.

1st Appearance of the Cosmic Control Rod.

A device that manipulates matter and energy and slows the aging process.

It gives Annihilus control over virtually limitless Cosmic Energy.

Story Summary:

Sue Storm is about to give birth to Franklin Richards at any moment. Her life is at risk unless Reed Richards goes into the Negative Zone to find Element X. The Cosmic Control Rod contains the rare Element X that Reed requires. Annihilus wont part with it so easily. He's obsessed with immortality from the Cosmic Control Rod. A battle ensues across the Negative Zone. Reed finds Himself trapped between a barrier of positive and negative matter. Annihilus forces Reed to hand over the Cosmic Control Rod, but not before He's able to siphon out a small amount of the Element X that's needed to save Sue and Franklin. Sue is now able to survive and gives birth to Franklin Richards.

To answer ?'s as to why I have set the asking price so high compared to the previous $33,600 sale:

There were only 3 Copies in CGC 9.8 when I bought this back in 2018.

In 4 Years, only 5 additional copies have been added to 9.8.

Some of those 5 also may have been pressed and cleaned higher.

This is a Silver Age square bound book. Very hard to obtain in a 9.8.

Compare this book to Fantastic Four #48 (1st Silver Surfer and Galactus).

There was a 9.8 sale in 2021 for $108,000.

There are 39 Copies in CGC 9.8 of FF#48 compared to only 8 Copies of this Issue in 9.8.

There have been 3 offers for the $33,600 CGC 9.8 that last sold. $55,000, $65,000, & $69,999 All declined by the Owner.

The CGC Market has been undervalued for far too long compared to other Collectible Markets. Sales such as $264k for a Marvel Spotlight #5 CGC 9.8 (1st Ghost Rider Appearance) were just the tip of the Ice burg for CGC's and their future popularity and value.
