NOTEWORTHY : WILKINSON SWORD, LONDON, STEEL IS THE FINEST STEEL MADE WORLDWIDE FOR HARDNESS AND ITS ABILITY TO HOLD A SHARP EDGE. IT HAS RECEIVED ACCLAIMS FROM THE KING AND QUEEN's ROYAL COURT. The British Military, Minister of Defense ordered these knives, 7,000 wereproduced, cancelling any further production orders. I suspect Englands decision to not become involved in the Vietnam conflict. Some were madeavailable to USA soldiers going to Vietnam.

Pictured and offered for sale is a vintage Wilkinson Sword R.J.H. Jungle Knife, designed and made for the British Military Of Defense, ( M.O.D.) in the 1960's. Much information can be found in researching this knife. The knife has been lightly used with no damage or defects. The handle is a composition, hard rubber type material.. It provides a very comfortable solid grip and adds to the well balancing of the knife blade and overall use. HANDLE IS ORIGINAL, NOT REPAINTED. The leather military sheath is original to the knife designed also by the British military having a properly operating military clasp. The leather sheath is soft and pliable, showing color wear on the backside.
STAMPINGS, MARKINGS, ETC.The knife blade is marked, engraved on each side. Side 1 .. "WILKINSON SWORD LONDON ENGLAND" Side 2 .. "R.J.H. JUNGLE KNIFE Regd. Design" (difficult to photograph). Military Leather sheath is stamped "MADE IN ENGLAND" with the military clasp being stamped "LIFT THE DOT".
