Paul François Choppin French sculptor(Paris 1856 - Paris 1937) pupil of Jouffroy and Falguière exhibits at the Salonbusts and statues, the one we are presenting entitled "A volunteer from1792" reduction of a statue intended for Parmentier square in Paris isalso known under the name of "Winner of the Bastille" or even"The Call to arms".

The patina has brown colour andstatueis in good antique condition. Some restauration part of rifle. Signed: P Choppin
