This Polaroid is on original date stamped 1969 Polaroid stock. It was discovered at an sale in 2005 and indicates someone test marketed Marijuana cigarettes prior to the Controlled Substances Act’s passage in 1970. Im pretty sure this was taken in succession but this seems to be the only photograph known to have survived or made public. I have done extensive research on this photograph and came to the conclusion based on the supporting documents (and others not listed) and Polaroid date code data that this photograph is related to the subject matter in the documents.
This historical photograph should be preserved and displayed somewhere significant since the cannabis industry is just now starting to grow, over 50 years late.
