Very fine Argentine Creole knife from the early 20th century, with a German blade with no visible marks, but no doubt due to the forging, quality and the notches on the back, robust and sharp blade, characteristic of the german creole blades from the 1920-1940 period. Handle and scabbard with very fine chiseling work in 800 sterling silver, stamped by the goldsmith M.M.Arias, it was an old saddlery and sold silver items, cutlery, etc ... all for the rancher of BsAs, for the gaucho with money !!. The chiseling is very fine, with many high quality relief details, the sheath is excellent, not so the handle, which has dents, see photos, the owner used it as a hammer at some point !!, it was common in the countryside in the past, for the knife to replace another tool! unique piece, of great quality !! Total measurements in its sheath: 40 cm (16in), knife: 34cm (13.6in), blade: 21cm (8.4in) x 4cm maximum width and 0.6cm maximum thickness!
