When I was eight years old, my father took me to the White House for a tour when he was on business . At the time, I wanted to be president of the United States . After finishing the tour, we stepped outside the front door of the White House when a White House maintenance worker drilled out a piece of the front sandstone wall and handed me the core as a souvenir. My father understood how unique this was and had it professionally framed with a plaque commemorating the piece of the White House and the date, April 25, 1969. After lots of research, I have learned that this is a very unique piece of history and possibly one of a kind.

The sandstone core is 15.5cm or 6-1/4\" in length. It is 2cm or 3/4\" in diameter. One side of the core is painted white.

It is preserved artfully in a velvet lined black frame that measures 10.5\"L x 9.25\"W x 1-5/8\"W.
