Easy Homemade Valentine’s Day Card Crafts for Kids

There’s no need to buy pricey pre-made Valentine’s Day cards. Your child’s own artwork is the best gift that you can give a loved one. If your kiddo is getting ready to craft a few cute cards, check out these easy ideas. Don’t worry, there’s no need to qualify as an expert crafter just to make these artsy “I love you” cards.
Old School Lace Doily
Remember those lace doily hearts you made as a child? Well, your little one can craft a similar sort of card too. This is a throwback that’s still very much in fashion. Have your child cut a paper doily into a heart. Glue it onto a piece of red or pink construction paper and write a greeting on the front.
Fun with Felt
Instead of a paper card, make one entirely out of felt. Cut hearts from craft felt and glue them onto an 8×10-inch sheet of felt (in another color). Your child can use fabric markers to write a special message.
Photo Collage
Find photos of your child and the person who is getting the card (such as grandma or grandpa). Your child can draw a giant heart on a piece of poster board and cut it out. Work together, collaging the photos onto the heart with glue.
