Pumpkin Games for Your Family’s Halloween Party

Pumpkin Bowling
While bowling with real pumpkins could get messy, this kids’ game is much more tame. Instead of the real deal, use an orange ball. Decorate it with a jack o’lantern face using black permanent markers. Create ghastly ghost pins by painting soda bottles white (add eyes with a marker). You can also make mummy pins instead. Simply wrap the bottles in gauze!
Mini Pumpkin Roll
Divide the kids into two teams. Give each team one mini pumpkin and a large wooden spoon. The teams have to race, pushing the pumpkins with the spoons, to see who wins! Play this game like a relay, with one child going after the next gets back.
Pumpkin Paint Printing
Do you need a game that’s more crafty than sporty? Give the kids a large piece of butcher paper (or plain gift wrap), mini pumpkins and orange tempera paint. Pour the paint onto paper plates, let the kiddos dip the pumpkins in and see how many paint prints they can make in one minute.
