Thanksgiving Turkey Themed Art Activities for Kids

Turkey Tracings
This easy art activity only requires crayons, paper and your child’s hand. Have your child open their hand and stretch their fingers out wide. Place their hand on a blank piece of paper and trace it with a crayon. Now your child is ready to decorate the hand, turning it into a Thanksgiving turkey. Draw eyes and a beak on the thumb and feathers on the fingers.
Turkey Table Toppers
Transform plain paper cups into turkey table toppers. Cover the outside of the cup with brown construction paper. Use glue or tape to hold it together at the edges. Turn the cup over (so that the narrow end is at the top). Draw a turkey face near the top of the cup. Cut faux feathers from colorful construction paper or glue craft feathers to the back of the cup. If you use the turkeys as place markers, write each person’s name on the front of the cup with a marker.
Finger Paint Turkey
Pour fall-colored finger or tempera paint (brown, red, yellow and orange) onto a palette or a paper plate. Your creative kiddo can dip their fingers into the paints and print an autumn-hued turkey onto construction paper!
