9 framed Paintings by Kusho Ralla: Lama, Published Artist and Teacher:
$3250.00

I met Kusho Ralla while working with a friend to arrange for the first visit of the Dalai Lama to the UK. He was an amazing person to be around and I found his paintings to be enchanting. My sons do not share my love of Asian art and philosophy so I have decided to reduce the number of items that they will have to deal with and allow others to enjoy them as much as I have. Here is some information on the artist. All beautifully framed under glass. Sizes on request.
Kusho Ralla was born in Kahm, East Tibet in 1933. Recognized as the 13th Tulku or incarnation of a famous Lama, Ralotswa, when age seven he entered Sandu Monastery of 500 monks. It belonged to the same order as the Dalai Lama. He then spent some years at Sera Monastic University. During the six month journey from Lhasa to India to escape the Chinese soldiers his two brothers were shot and killed. In India he taught at refugee schools Tibetan Language, History, Painting and Buddhism. He is an artist of the Gelugpa School.
