This beautiful art piece comes straight from a recently retired General Electric CF6 turbofan engine, used to power a Boeing 747 jet aircraft. It took approximately 160 hours of polishing to get the finished look it now has. The fan blades and fan disk hub are made of a titanium alloy. The nose cone is made of aircraft aluminum. All put together, It weighs roughly 650 lbs. It is roughly 86 inches in diameter. It can disassembled for shipping. It would be a great statement piece in a museum, restaurant, business, or home. It can be mounted to a wall through the bolt hole pattern on the back side of the fan disk hub. It is currently mounted to a custom made steel frame on caster wheels. The frame is not included in the purchase price, but could be negotiated with the sale of the turbofan.
