$75000.00

You are offerding on:an original WWII color photo slide showing a makeshift grave at the crash site of a Japanese bomber shot down in a farm field during the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. The cross reads, "FOUR JAPANESE AIR FORCE DIED IN ACTION DEC. 7, 1941". All the crash site graves were dug up very soon after being made and the bodies were moved and placed in an unmarked mass grave at a local unused beach. The grave in the photo was made on Dec. 7, 1941 the first day of the United States involvement in WWII in the Pacific. This grave was not there that long. This slide came from the estate of a US Navy officer stationed in Hawaii at the time of the attack. We unfortunately do not know his name. There are no known copies of this photo anywhere other than our sale photos here that have our digital stamps across them.

Condition:The image is sharper and more colorful than our sale photo shows, the words on the cross are clear when viewed with a magnifier -- it's just difficult to photograph with a hand-held camera. It has some minor scratches.

SHIPPING: FREE s/h in the US -- International shipping will cost more (please ask before offerding).
We usually ship 2x a week, Tuesdays and Fridays.
Buyers from WA state and many other states will have to pay their state's Sales Tax -- the tax is automatically collected by and not sent to the seller.

Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to offerding/buying. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
