The cachet is an image of THE STATUE OF FREEDOM ATOP THE WASHINGTON CAPITOL. The caption reads "NATIONAL CAPITAL SESQUICENTENNIAL 1800-1950 FREEDON WASHINGTON DC". The stamp was cancelled at WASHINGTON, DC on APRIL 20, 1950!
